BSP candidate surrenders in murder case
Varanasi, Mar 30 (UNI) A gangster contesting the coming Uttar Pradesh assembly polls on a Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) ticket today surrendered before a court here in connection with a murder case.
Senior Police Superintendent Sujit Pandey said here that Sujit Singh, wanted in connection with over 12 criminal cases and carrying a reward of Rs 20,000, surrendered before the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) court.
The gangster surrendered in connection with the murder of a trader in Rohania area of the district in February last. The court later remanded the gangster in 14 days judicial custody.
The gangster, who hails from Belwa village of the district, is all set to contest the coming assembly polls from the Gangapur seat of the district on a BSP ticket.
