BSF jawan deployed for UP polls dies of burns in train
Lucknow, Mar 30 (UNI) A Border Security Force (BSF) jawan, on way to Uttar Pradesh for deployment during the forthcoming assembly elections, died of burns when a part of the special train he was travelling in caught fire in Jhansi.
The jawan, Joshi Eskeria of 'G' company of 86 battalion BSF, hailing from Kerala, was admitted in Agra hospital before saccumbing to injuries last night.
He was travelling in a special train coming from Mathura side carrying Central Para Military Force(CPMF) personnel to be deployed on election duty at Jhansi.
Investigations were on to ascertain how the toilet of the train caught fire when he was inside. The necessary formalities were being carried out to sent back his mortal remains, a Home department spokesman said here.
