BJP mollifies firebrand Yogi Adityanath
Gorakhpur, Mar 30 (UNI) The BJP today succeeded in mollifying disgruntled party MP Yogi Adityanath, who has now announced full support to his parent organisation in the coming Uttar Pradesh assembly poll.
Addressing here a joint news conference with former BJP national president Venkaiah Naidu and party general secretary Gopinath Munde, Yogi claimed all his grievances had been addressed to and he was with his party in the poll battle ahead.
Yogi is also the successor of reverred Gorakshapeeth here.
''The party's national leadership has lent ears to my point of view. Although, I was taken for granted, all my grievanes have vanished after the central leadership and Gorakshapeethadhishwar Mahant Avaidyanath reasoned with me,'' he added.
Yogi said differences in party were akin to domestic tiffs.
''Now, eastern UP will give best results to BJP in the poll.'' He said all his 16 nominees in eastern UP would withdraw their names from poll contest and support the official candidate of BJP.
Mr Naidu noted the firebrand MP's area of influence extended beyond eastern UP to the entire country, which was a valuable asset for the party.
