Beckham wins the Sandur cup

Bangalore, Mar 30 (UNI) Second favourite "Beckham" ably ridden by Jockey Suraj Narredu lifted the Sandur cup, the main event of winter meeting of Bangalore races held here today.

The winner is joint property of Mr Hoosain S Nensey and Mr Farouq Rationsey representing Aeppo Bloodstock Pvt Limited and trained by R R Byramji.

Jockey Suraj Narredu had a field day as he rode four winners, while Jockeys Darius Byramji and Irfan Ghatala scored treble and double respectively.

Punters had a mixed day as four favourites obliged in a card of eight events.
