New Delhi, Mar 30 (UNI) Action 2007 today condemned the Supreme Court's judgment staying 27 per cent reservation for OBC in higher education institutions like IITs and IIMs.

This judgment exposed the caste-class bias of the Indian judiciary and confirmed the dominance of elite 'brahminical' order in the state apparatus, a statement said.

The bogey of creamy layer had been conveniently used by the Supreme Court and the 'brahminical' elites, callously overlooking the fact that the same had not been even discussed as criteria for the donation seats and the private sector.

''We call upon all oppressed castes and working people of India to unitedly rise up against this elitist brahminical judgment. And demand a comprehensive legislation including necessary Constitutional amendment, if needed, to secure adequate reservation for dalits, OBCs, poor minorities and women in jobs and higher educational institutions,'' it added.
