Veteran journalist dead

Thiruvananthapuram, Mar 29 (UNI) Veteran Journalist P K Menon died here today following cardiac arrest.

He was 82. Mr Menon is survived by his wife, son and a daughter.

Mr Menon was the manager of the Press Trust of India local bureau. He had also served in Kochi and Mumbai before becoming the manager of the Thrivananthapuram bureau.

After his retirement from PTI, he served as the correspondent of 'Telegraph' daily.

The cremation would take place this evening.
