USV chalks out its expansion plans
Mar 29 (UNI) One of the country's largest players in the anti-diabetic segment, USV, has chalked our its expansion plans.
Talking to reporters on the sidelines of the company's launch of CuCutkal, Company MD Prashant Tewari said,''Currently there are 1800 staff that are employed with our various facilities in the country and the headcount is likely to rise by 200 within a period of one year from now''.
We have already got a bulk drug production and R&D facilities at Govandi area in Mumbai. Soon we have our plans to come up with a bigger R&D facility there which was likely to come under operations by June, he added.
Some of the other places where the company is already having its plant include Nerul in Mumbai, Baddi in Himachal Pradesh and Daman in Gujarat, he added.
Talking about his company's foray into the international market, he said,''Right now we have got 7 country managers on our fold in 7 different countries''. However, we want to make our presence in five more countries soon, he added. Besides, my company plans to get commissioned its injection facility by the first quarter of the next year, he said.
As the life essential drugs being manufactured by our company like Aspirin and Vitamin-A are already low cost ones, we have decided not to further reduce the price despite the call given by Union Chemical Minister Ram Vilas Paswan few months back, he told UNI
