Titan launches Titan eyeplus

Bangalore, Mar 29 (UNI) Titan Industries, by launching the Titan Eyeplus, today announced its foray into prescription eye wear business.

Talking to newsmen after the launch, Titan Industries Managing Director Bhaskar Bhat said that the Titan Eyeplus will be piloted initially in Bangalore and Nagpur and subsequently rolled out nationally in the next fiscal.

In the first phase the company plans to open five Titan Eyeplus stores in Bangalore and one in Nagpur, he added.

The current Indian prescription eye wear market was sizeable with nearly 30 per cent of the population on requiring vision correction, he added.

Stating that the prescription wear foray represents Titan's third major line of consumer business after watches and jewellery, he said that Titan Eyeplus stores will offer the widest and most stylish optical range currently available in the country.
