Team India's poor show echoes in MP Assy

Bhopal, Mar 29 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Energy Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya today suggested that the Assembly should adopt a resolution expressing displeasure over Team India's dismal performance in the ICC World Cup but Speaker Ishwardas Rohani rejected the suggestion.

Mr Vijayvargiya's suggestion was made during Question Hour when a query pertaining to the Sports Department came up.

''When the team performs well and emerges victorious, it is congratulated. Therefore, displeasure should be expressed now,'' the Minister felt.

Disallowing Mr Vijayvargiya, the Speaker said, ''The House should think positively.'' Commerce and Industry Minister Babulal Gaur, also a former chief minister, agreed with Mr Rohani.
