Team India skipper Rahul Dravid, Anil Kumble, Rob in Uthappa arrived

Bangalore, Mar 29 (UNI) Team India skipper Rahul Dravid arrived here in the early hours of today amidst tight security in the Airport.

Ace legie Anil Kumble and Opener Robin Uthappa also arrived with him from Mumbai.

The players arrived from London, where they stayed for a couple of days, after being ousted from the World Cup in the league stage itself tasting a humiliating defeat at the hands of Bangladesh in their first encounter and against Sri Lanka in the do or die final league match. Team India's win against Barmoda with a record total went in vain as the team failed to make it to Super Eight stage.

Widespread protest were witnessed in the City immediately after team's ouster from the World Cup and hence the tight security at the Airport to ensure safety of the players.

Dravid's wife Vijetha Dravid, Uthappa's parents were present at the airport.

The trio were taken away in different cars to their destinations from VIP gate.

Except for a few passengers who eagerly looked at the trio on their arrival there were neither eager fans who otherwise would have thronged at the airport nor traditional garland and 'thilak' welcome as it was seen on their earlier arrivals.

Battalions of Karnataka State Reserve Police (KSRP), besides plain clothes police kept close watch on the movement of each and every one at the airport.
