Student drowns another missing

Balasore, Mar 29 (UNI) In a tragic incident a school student drowned while another reported missing during a bath in Budhabalang river.

Police said class IX student Chinmay Mishra drowned while his schoolmate Debabrata Shukla feared to have drowned during a bath in the river yesterday. Both of them were the student of Balasore Zilla school.

According to sources the mishap took place when a group of five students, all in the age group of 14-15 years had gone to take bath in Budhabalanga river.

All the five students were swayed in the strong tidal current of the river but the fishermen and some local people could manage to rescue three students.

The body of Chinmaya was later fished out from the river while Debabrata remained untraced.The police have launched a search operation to trace the missing boy.
