Special camps for integrated certificates in Pondy
Puducherry, Mar 29 (UNI) The Department of Revenue and Disaster Management of Puducherry proposed to organise special camps for issuing permanent integrated certificates containing nationality, residence,caste/community and income in a single format to all tenth and 12th standard students who recently appeared for the public examinations, District Collector Theva Neethi Das said here today.
In a release here today, Mr Das said the certificates will meet the requirements of the students when they applied for jobs, admission to schools and colleges and to avail benefits under various welfare schemes of the government.
As many as 22,500 students of the government/private schools would be benefitted.
Prescribed application forms were sent to all schools and the students, after filling them up, should submit them at the special camp along with relevant evidence.
The revenue officals will scrutinise the applications and the certificates will be sent to the respective schools,he said.
The Chief Minister had announced the issue of the permanent integrated certificates in his Budget Speech yesterday.
