SI nabbed for taking Rs 20,000 bribe

Jamnagar, Mar 29 (UNI) The Anti-Corruption Branch of Ahmedabad Police caught a police sub-inspector red-handed taking a bribe of Rs 20,000 from a youth.

SI M R Parmar, who was posted at the Hanuman Gate police station, was caught taking the bribe for not booking the youth under the Prohibition laws, police said.

An ACB team from Ahmedabad led by Dy SP R R Chaudhury reached Jamnagar last night and nabbed him. The complaint had been lodged by the youth's uncle D K Dodhiya.
