Seminar for Policy for Equitable Access to Justice to NE

Guwahati, Mar 29 (UNI) A seminar on National Cooperation Dialogue for Development of a Policy for Equitable Access to Justice in the North Eastern Region, organized under the aegis of the National Legal Services Authority will be held here on March 31.

Supreme Court Justices Ashok Bhan and H K Sema, Acting Chief Justice of the Gauhati High Court, Justice D Biswash, who is also the patrol-in-chief of the Legal Services Authority's Asom wing, and Chief Justice of Delhi High Court, Justice M K Sharma are likely to attend the seminar.

Eminent writer, social activist and reformer Dr Mamoni Raisom Goswami will also be addressing the seminar, sources here said.

Gender Justice, Protection of Child Rights and Protection of Hill Tribes, Plantation Workers and Marginalised Forest Fringe Population are the issues that will be deliberated upon and notable champions from the concerned fields will be addressing he respective sessions.

The chairman of the Guwahati High Court Legal Services committee Mr Justice A Roy of the Guwahati High Court will also address the concluding function, sources said.
