Panchayat Samiti elections in Goa on April 29

Panaji, Mar 29 (UNI) Goa State Election Commission here today said that the panchayat samiti elections in 185 villages will be held on April 29.

State Election Commissioner P M Borkar in a release said returning officers will receive nomination papers from April 2 to April 9, which will be scrutinised on April 10 and 11. And the last date for withdrawal of nomination papers is April 12 and the polling with the held on April 29.

Counting of votes will be undertaken on April 30 and May 1.

The code of conduct will be in force from April 2 to May 1, the release added.
