Oppn protest against references to Sena Chief, Shivaji on Orkut
Mumbai, Mar 29 (UNI) Maharashtra Legislative Assembly was today adjourned for 15 minutes when Opposition Shiv Sena-BJP resorted to sloganeering demanding immediate action against those people behind the blogsite on Orkut portal in which derogatory references were made against Sena Chief Bal Thackeray and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
The issue was raised by Leader of Opposition Ramdas Kadam.
Opposition members shouted slogans 'Jai Bhawani, Jai Shivaji' demanding immediate action against the guilty.
The House had to be adjourned for 15 minutes after which Deputy Chief Minister R R Patil said the government would examine legal provisions and make a statement in the assembly on the nature of inquiry and action to be undertaken in this regard.
