Mulayam govt should be dismissed: rebel MP
Lucknow, Mar 29 (UNI) Friend-turned-foe of the ruling Samajwadi Party Beni Prasad Verma today demanded dismissal of the ''corrupt'' Mulayam Singh Yadav government.
''Except for two ministers -- Mohammad Azam Khan and Raja Bhaiyya-- all ministers in the present government are corrupt'', he alleged.
Meanwhile, Samajwadi Party has announced to field candidates against the Beni Prasad Verma-led Samajwadi Kranti Dal(SKD) nominees in different parts of the state.
Talking to mediaperson, Mr Verma said the chief minister is surrounded by 'political dalals' who have taken over control from him.
Demanding immediate dismissal of the state government and imposition of President's rule, he said only such action would enable the people to get respite from a corrupt government.
However, the SP MP refused to resign as MP saying if the party wants, it could take action against me.
Mr Verma's son and state jail minister Rakesh Verma had already resigned from the state cabinet and yesterday resigned from the membership of the state assembly.
The SKD also announced the names of the candidates in different parts of the state on the occasion.
On the other hand SP leader and state minister Waqar Ahmed Shah today said Beni Prasad Verma's anti-party stand would have no impact in the assembly polls.
''Mr Verma will know his popularity after the poll result'', he said.
Announcing the joining of Ram Sunder Choudhury, a prominent Kurmi leader, into the party fold, Mr Shah said Kurmis were with the Samajwadi Party.
