Govt signs MoU with GAIL setting targets for 2007-08

New Delhi, Mar 29 (UNI) The Government today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the public sector Gail (India) Ltd, here, earmarking performance targets for the company for fiscal 2007-08.

The MoU was signed by Mr M S Srinivasan, Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas and Dr U D Choubey, Chairman and Managing Director, GAIL.

GAIL has been assigned a target for transmission of 81.01 MMSCMD of natural gas from domestic sources and through LNG route. It includes the gas marketing target of 70.14 MMSCMD.

The MoU also provides for an 'excellent' production target of 3,78,858 MT of polymers (HDPE and LLDPE) and about 12,17,500 MT of liquid hydrocarbons.
