Five fake militants arrested in Kashmir

Srinagar, Mar 29 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir police has arrested five youths who were posing as militants and indulging in extortion and other crimes in the central Kashmir district of Badgam.

A police spokesman said that police station Magam was receiving information that some local youths were indulging in extortion and other crimes in the area for the past few weeks.

He said a trap was laid and finally five youths with a toy pistol and some black clothes, which they were wearing to cover their faces, were recovered.

The micreants were identified as Bilal Dar, Javed Dar, Shabir Dar, Jehangir and Bilal Sheikh.

He said a case has been registered against them.
