Farmer stabbed to death

Kolhapur, Mar 29 (UNI) A 45-year-old farmer was allegedly stabbed to death with a sharp weapon near village Telve in Panhala tehsil of the district.

The deceased was identified as Pandit Ganpat Bhosale, who hailed from Kololee village of same tehsil, police said today.

Last night, Bhosale had gone to sleep at a store room, in which jaggery was kept, where around midnight a group of unidentified assailants attacked him, leading to his death.

The police have apprehended three suspects, including two from the village itself, in this connection. The cause of the murder is yet to be ascertained, police added.
