Empowered committee reviewed Mizoram IGC plan
Aizawl, Mar 29 (UNI) An empowered committee for the Industrial Growth Centre(IGC) has chalked out plans for completing the multi-crore rupees Centre located here.
The committee, in its meeting yesterday, under the chairmanship of chief secretary Haukhum Hauzel, reviewed the detailed plan for setting up 22 industrial sheds, 95 quarters, three laboratories, an estate office, a bank and a post office buildings.
The meeting has also proposed to set up a guest house, telephone office, primary school, and dispensary, weigh bridge and fire station in the IGC.
After about two decades of acquiring 311 acres of land, the state got Rs four crore as the 5th installment for the Centre, industry department officials said.
The Centre envisages housing different kinds of industries like agro-based, live-stock-based, electronic/electrical, petro-chemical engineering units, they added.
