Centre approves 15 ROBs for Haryana

Chandigarh, Mar 29 (UNI) Haryana Government has sent a proposal to the Ministry of Railways for construction of 19 Railway Over Bridges (ROBs) in the state during the next financial year and out of these 15 have already been accorded approval by the Ministry of Railways at a cost of Rs 240 crore.

A spokesman of Haryana PWD (B&R) Department said here yesterday that it was the first time that Haryana has got so many ROBs approved in the Railways work plan in year. He said the ROBs would be constructed at a cost of Rs 16 crore each.

He said that Haryana Government was laying special emphasis on safe movement on traffic on roads and a master plan of 90 ROBs costing Rs 1600 crore had been envisaged. He said that the construction of 15 ROBs costing Rs 190 crore was in progress and a sum of Rs 29 crore had been spent on these ROBs during the current financial year.

He said that 15 ROBs which had been sanctioned by the Ministry of Railways would be on Delhi-Bhatinda Kacha Beri Road, Rohtak, ROB at Rohtak on Rohtak-Gohana Railway line, Old Delhi Road, district Rohtak, ROB on Delhi-Ambala Railway Sonepat Gohana Road, ROB at Taraori on Delhi-Ambala Railway Line in Karnal district, ROB on Delhii. Ambala Railway line, Nilokheri Kaul Dhand Road in Karnal district, ROB on Delhi-Ambala Railway line, Samalkha Chulkhaba and Mandi road in Panipat district, ROB on Delhi-Ambala Railway Line, Shahbad Thol Road in Kurukshetra district, ROB on Delhi-Bhatinda Railway line, Bahadurgarh Nahara Road in Jhajjar district, ROB on Ambala-Saharanpur Railway line, Old Radaur Road in Yamunanagar district.

He said that ROB on Rewari-Mohindergarh Loharu Railway line, Narnaul Dadri Road in Mohindergarh district, ROB on Delhi-Rewari-Bhatinda Railway line, Bhiwani Tosham Road in Bhiwani district, ROB on Bhiwani-Rohtak Railway line, Bhiwani Hansi Road in Bhiwani district and ROB on Hisar-Rewari Railway line, Jhajjar Dadri Road in Bhiwani district had also been sanctioned.
