BJP demands action against Mulayam for diatribe against EC
Sultanpur, Mar 29 (UNI) BJP national general secretary and former union minister Anant Kumar today demanded action against Uttar Pradesh chief minister and Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav for his ''baseless allegations'' on the Election Commission.
Talking to newspersons here, Mr Kumar welcomed the steps taken by the EC for conducting free and fair poll in UP.
''It is sad that Mr Yadav, who is the CM of such a large state, is openly attacking an important pillar of our democracy,'' he noted demanding action against the former.
He forecast the defeat of SP in the hustings and BJP ascending to power, ''which would pave the way for the all-round development of UP.'' Meanwhile, he claimed that talks with disgruntled BJP MP from Gorakhpur Yogi Adityanath were on and a breakthrough was expected soon.
Yogi has announced to field his own candidates in the coming poll in eastern UP under the banner of Hindu Vahini.
''The division of Hindu votes would not be allowed at any cost.
BJP will form the next government in the state with the help of alliance partners...we know how to run a coaltion government,'' he maintained.
