Apex court's stay on reservation draws flak

Patna, Mar 29(UNI) All India Backward Classes Federation (AIBCF) has described the Supreme court's decision to stay the reservation for OBCs in educational institutions as 'undemocratic' and 'unfortunate'.

Talking to reporters here, AIBFC president Indra Kumar Singh Chandapuri said the efforts of the Centre to provide 27 per cent reservation to OBCs in the educational institutions was appreciable but the stay by the apex court had poured cold water on their a spirations.

''The reservation for OBCs in government services cannot yield concrete results unless they are provided with opportunity to get admitted in educational institions,'' he added.
