Air force Provost Marshals' conference

Shillong, Mar 29 (UNI) Eastern Air command headquarters today conducted a Assistant Provost Marshals' conference.

''The security scenario of the country remains a cause for concern. The North East, in particular, calls for greater attention.

Defence establishments in this area are perennially prone to threats from elements inimical to the interests of the country, said a defence release here today.

The conference was inaugurated by Air Marshal P K Barbora, VM, senior Air Staff Officer, EAC.

It said that Assistant Provost Marshals are responsible for the implementation of security in their designated zones.

The conference was chairmed by Air vice Marshal J S Gandyok, AVSM VSM, Senior officer in charge of Administration, EAC and other officials.
