US-India roundtable on higher education on Mar 29

New Delhi, Mar 28: India and United States are engaging themselves in a dialogue to forge greater partnership in the field of higher education.

US Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs Karen P Hughes will be among a host of American higher education leaders who will partcipate in a Roundtable on International Education to be held here tomorrow.

They will be in discussion with vice chancellors of several universities and the head of the Indian Institute of Technology and other experts in the field.

The discussion will focus on ways to prepare students for global competition in the 21rst century.

Top figures from Indian and American universities will discuss ways to give greater opportunities to students from the two countries to benefit from the experience and expertise of the institutions in the two countries.
