Union condemns liquor policy

Alappuzha, Mar 28 (UNI) Kuttanad Chethu Thozhilali Union, affiliated to the CITU, has come forward against the new Liquor Policy of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) - led Left Democratic Front (LDF) Kerala government.

Union President V G Kuttappan, considered to be a close associate of Chief Minister V S Achuthanadan, today said the Liquor Policy was detrimental to the interest of the toddy tappers.

He said, some provisions in the policy would make the toddy tappers unemployed.
