Ultras call Palamu Bandh tomorrow

Latehar, Mar 28 (UNI) The proscribed CPI(Maoist) has called for Palamu bandh affecting three districts--Garwah, Latehar and Palamu--that fall under the ambit of Palamu Parliamentary seat where by-election is scheduled tomorrow.

The bandh was called for the alleged lackadasical attitude of the district administration during the rescue operation in Garwah where 16 people were killed yesterday after bus carrying about more than 30 polling personnel fell down in a rivulet, a release quoted the spokesman of the outfit as saying so.

Meanwhile, home department sources here said elaborate security arrangements had been made in view of the bandh adding it would not affect tomorrow's polling.
