Two hardcore ATTF rebels surrender

Agartala, Mar 28 (UNI) Two hardcore All Tripura Tiger Force (ATTF) insurgents, along with AK rifles and cache of ammunition, surrendered last night in Tripura's west district, official sources said today.

According to sources the banned ATTF activists surredered to the Tripura State Rifles (TSR) Commandant Soumitra Dhar at Radhacharan camp.

The rebels deposited two AK rifles, 194 rounds of bullets.

Both the insurgents were active in Baramura hill ranges in the district.

Interrogation was on, TSR official said.

In another anti-insurgency operation, SDPO-led security forces of Gandacherra in Dhalai district, recovered 78 bullets of .303 rifle.

No one has been arrested in this connection, sources said, adding that search operations are on.
