Timely detection of damageed coach saves Purushottam Express

Koderma, Mar 28 (UNI) A timely detection of a damaged coach of the Delhi-bound 2801 Purushottam Express by railway employess today managed to avert an accident at Jhharkhand's Koderma Railway station today.

The train was coming from Puri in Orissa with one the coach which trolly frame was about to be completely damaged.

At the Koderma station, alert staff noticed the nearly 90 per cent damaged trolly of the reserved coach number S-8, Mr Sameer Kumar, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager of the Dhanbad Division, Eastern Railways said.

Mr Kumar said if it had gone unnoticed in the station, the Delhi bound-coach carrying about 72 passengers would have certainly derailed leading a major mishap after sometime.

Mr Kumar said an inquiry into the matter had been ordered.
