Skeletal remains of two missing boys recovered
Senapati/Imphal, Mar 28 (UNI) The skeletal remains of two 10-year -old boys, who were missing since December 14, were recovered last evening from Viewland Colony here, district police said.
According to the police, Hriini Hubert and Mohini Martin were missing since December 14. The skeletal remains were discovered last evening by some children.
The bodies had been identified by their family from their clothes.
A major campaign had been launched in the state, specially in Senapati district to trace the duo. A Core Committee was also formed to inquire into the kidnapping.
The recovery of the bodies were met with massive protests by the people.
Silent prayers were organised by women's and students' organisations here in the district. People wore black badges and A post-mortem would be conducted at Imphal later.
Police does not have any suspects as yet.
Meanwhile, the National Identity Protection Committee(NIPCO) and other organisations have criticised the killings.
