'Satyam' signs 5 yr deal with 'Applied Materials'

Hyderabad, Mar 28 (UNI) Leading global IT services company Satyam today announced that it had signed a five year contract with Applied Materials, the global leader in Nano-manufacturing technology in the electronics industry.

Satyam's Founder Chairman B Ramalinga Raju in a statement here said, his company would provide application development, maintenance and support plus business transformation core technology services to Applied materials.

''We expect the managed services approach to become common place and to serve as a model for numerous future engagements with other customers,'' he added.

Applied Materials Vice-President and Chief Information Officer Ron Kifer said, ''we believe the managed services model along with service level agreements is the right approach for the company.'' UNI
