Noted criminal lynched in North 24 Parganas

Barrackpore, Mar 28 (UNI) Local people lynched a noted criminal at Jagatpur in North 24 Parganas this morning, police said.

The miscreant Nabin Mukherjee alias Bihari Swapan was wanted for murder, extortion and other anti-social activities. He also faced drug charges.

He was however, released on bail.

Police have recovered his body and sent it for post-mortem.

No one had been arrested in this connection so far, police said.
