Monica faints in court

Bhopal, Mar 28 (UNI) Bollywood starlet and underworld don Abu Salem's girlfriend, who stands accused in a fake passports case, today fainted in the Chief Judicial Magistrate's court.

Monica's counsel urged the court to grant permission to take her back to the jail in view of her poor health.

After CJM Ravindra Singh granted permission, she was sent back to the jail.

Six witnesses today recorded their statements in connection with the case. Monica's counsel submitted a bail plea for her in the court.

On November 28, 2001, a case was registered at the Koh-i-Fiza Police Station against Salem, Samira and Monica for having fake passports made at the regional passport office using the names Danish Baig, Rubina Baig and Fauzia Osman respectively.
