Man charged in wife's gang rape

Tikamgarh, MP, Mar 28: A man is among 11 persons charged for confining his wife for three days and raping her in this district's Khadri village.

Earlier, the victim, her father and brother went to Jirone Police Station to register a report but were beaten up by the Station House Officer.

The affected family reached here yesterday and narrated their tale of woe to Additional Superintendent of Police Prembabu Sharma.

Following Mr Sharma's directive, the woman was medically examined.

The victim was married two years back to Khadri village's Malkhan. In the recent past, the couple was not having a harmonious relationship. The woman was confined at a house and sexually assaulted from March 22.
