Guj Assembly admits 'no confidence' against speaker Patel

Gandhinagar, Mar 28 (UNI) Gujarat Assembly today admitted a 'no confidence motion' submitted by the Congress for the removal of Speaker Mangaldas Patel.

The petition should be brought for voting within next seven days.

However, there are lesser chances of the petition coming up for voting in the current budget session as it is ending on March 30.

In its petition, the Congress has alleged the Speaker was biased and favouring the ruling Bharatiya Janta Party members and he was not giving sufficient time to the party members.

Interestingly, this is the second time the Congress has filed 'No Confidence' petition during this session. Earlier, the petition was rejected by Mr Patel on the ground that it was not in proper format.
