Four arrested for robbery at petrol pump

Una, Mar 28 (UNI) Seven days after robbers looted Rs 87,000 from a petrol pump in Una district of Himachal Pradesh, the police has claimed to solved the case, saying four people have been arrested in this connection.

Una District SP Dtil Fulzele said all the four have been identified as Makhan Singh (22), Vinod Kumar (24), Suresh Kumar (26) and Raj Kumar (22), all residents of Shahpur Kandi village in Gurdaspur district of Punjab.

One of the accomplices was still absconding, he said.

On March 20, two accused followed the petrol pump attendant into the office for getting a bill after filling their vehicle with Rs 300 diesel.

Before the attendent could understand, they had robbed him of Rs 87,000, two mobile sets and escaped in their vehicle.

Dr Fulzele said the accused were arrested on the basis of their sketches which were circulated to the police stations in the neighbouring states.
