Dry weather over the state

Bangalore, Mar 28 (UNI) Following is a Summary of observations recorded by the weather office here at 0830 hours today.

Rainfall occurred at isolated places over the State.

Chief rainfall amounts (cm): Ranebennur, Honnali, Dharwad 1 each.

Maximum temperatures changed little over the State. They were above normal at many places over South Interior Karnataka; above normal at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka.

Gulbarga recorded the highest maximum temperature of 40.2 degrees celsius over the State.

Minimum temperatures changed little over the State. They were appreciably above normal at many places over South Interior Karnataka and above normal at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and were normal over North Interior Karnataka.

Chamarajnagara recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 18.0 degrees celsius over the State.

Forecast valid until Friday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at isolated places over the State.

Farmers Weather Bulletin: Light to moderate rain likely to occur at isolated places over Udupi, Uttara Kannada, Dakshina Kannada, Dharwad, Haveri, Belgaum, Chamarajnagara, Mysore, Bangalore Rural, Bangalore Urban, Kodagu districts. Mainly dry weather may prevail over remaining districts of the State.

Local forecast: Partly cloudy. Development of thundery conditions towards evening/night. Maximum and Minimum temperature would be around 35 degrees celsius and 23 degrees celsius respectively.
