DDPI arrested for demanding bribe
Bangalore, Mar 28 (UNI) Bagalkot DDPI D R Manahalli was arrested after being caught red handed while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000 for showing official favour, yesterday.
A Lok Ayukta release here today said a trap was laid based on a complaint from one Raghavendra Rajshekar Rajapur that the DDPI was demanding bribe to give consent to his educational institution to remove the present staff and fill the vacancy with temporary staff.
Mr Manahalli was arrested on the spot and produced before the Sessions Court.
