Cotton farmers to get compensation for crop failure: Kumaraswamy

Bangalore, Mar 28 (UNI) Karnataka government will distribute Rs 2.6 crore as compensation to farmers of Haveri district who had lost their Cotton crop in 2004, due to supply of poor quality seeds by a company, Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy said today.

Speaking to newspersons at his chamber in Vidhana Soudha, the State Secretariat here, he said the farmers of Haveri had lost hopes of getting the relief.
