Bus kills three

Varanasi, Mar 28 (UNI) Three people were run over by a bus, while as many sustained grievous injuries in Mirzamurad area here today.

Police said the victims, Sonu (25), Amanat (20) and Imtiyaz (20), were killed by a speeding private bus near Tamachabad village on the Varanasi-Allahabad highway.

Among those injured, Rajendra and Ashok, have been admitted to the district hospital, where their condition was stated to be critical.

Agitated over the incident, residents blocked the highway for two hours.
