Bharat Nirman campaign in Chhattisgarh

Kanker, Chhattisgarh, Mar 28 (UNI) A Bharat Nirman campaign is receiving tremendous support of villagers in this naxalism-affected and tribal-dominated district where women from self-help groups are also taking part in the drive.

Programmes focussed on the Centre's schemes for rural uplift took place between March 21 and 25. A workshop on the the Right to Information Act was attended by state Chief Information Commissioner A K Vijayvargiya while another took place on the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme.

''A five-day fair featured stalls that disseminated information on schemes,'' said campaign Convenor Vikalp Shukla.
