Rly Electrical Workshop gets ISO certification

Chennai, Mar 27 (UNI) Railway Electrical Workshop situated at Perambur here, has received the prestigious ISO 9001-2000 certification.

Southern Railway General Manager Thomas Varghese received the certificate from the certifying agency at a function held today, a release said.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Thomas stated that the certification for this century-old workshop would bring its Quality Management System to international standards.

He also complemented the staff and officers for getting the award and said it would go a long way in further improving the reliability of equipment leading to better customer satisfaction.
