One killed, 2 arrested and eight surrender in J and K

Srinagar, Mar 27 (UNI) One person was killed while security forces arrested two militants and eight others surrendered in the Jammu and Kashmir overnight, an official spokesman said.

He said a dead body of Mehraj-ud-Din Sofi, resident of Arampora Qamarwari, was recovered from a Nallah behind JVC Hospital this morning.

Eight militants of differnt outfits surrendered before the Army alongwith five AK rifles, eight magzines, 250 rounds of ammunition, and three pistols at Uri today.

Security forces arrested two militants alongwith one pistol, one magzine, six rounds of ammunition and one hand grenade at Kani Kishtwar.
