Minors gangraped in Khayala, one detained

New Delhi, Mar 27 (UNI) Two minor girls were gangraped and an attempt was made on a third in Khayala area of West Delhi.

Police have detained one of the accused, also a minor. He was caught by the neighbours last night while trying to flee from the spot, said sources.

The girls, aged 5-7 years, were lured and raped by four minor boys on the first floor house of one of the accused in Khayala's J J Colony 'C' Block yesterday evening. All the four boys were below 18 years of age.

The matter came to light after two of the boys, who were playing with the girls, were asked to leave by the accused, informed their parents.

The parents of the girls rushed to the spot from where the accused tried to flee. However, one of them was caught who led them to the house where the girls lay almost in an unconscious state.

They were later taken to the Deen Dayal Upadhayay Hospital for medical examination where rape of two was confirmed. The report also added that ''an attempt'' had been made on the third, said the police adding that the other accused were being searched for fervently.
