Liquor worth Rs 18.16 lakh seized

Surat, Mar 27 (UNI) Liquor worth Rs 18.16 lakh were seized by the seluths of Rapid Response Cell (RCC) from three vehicles at Vav village in Kamrej today.

Acting on a tip-off, the team led by Surat Range Inspector General Shivanand Jha seized a truck, tempo and a tractor containing 4,812 bottles of liquor in 401 cartons from Vav village, police sources said.

A woman was also arrested in this connection. Two of her accomplices are absconding, sources added.
