Girl stabbed by classmate in MP

Narsinghpur(MP), Mar 27: A girl student of ninth standard was stabbed by her classmate in the presence of other students in their classroom after she did not respond to his gestures of love.

The incident took place at Government High School at Khamaria near Gotegaon in Narsinghpur district yesterday.

Police said Savitabai Rajput, who suffered 14 wounds in the attack by Udayraj Patel, had been admitted to Jabalpur medical college hospital in a serious condition.

Udayraj, who was enraged as the girl spurned his gestures to talk to him, had been arrested, police said.
