Elephant succumbs to illness

Mysore, Mar 27 (UNI) An 18-year-old tusker was found dead near Suvarna Nagara tank in Chamarajanagara district of Karnataka, today.

According to District Forest Officer Dr Raju, the elephant had been ailing for some days. It had been brought to the notice of the department, but the pachyderm succumbed to its illness.

Forest veterinary doctor conducted post mortem on the jumbo.
