Database for NRKs, NRIs to be prepared: CM

Thiruvananthapuram, Mar 27: The Kerala government will prepare a data base of Malayalis settled in other parts of the country and abroad, Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan informed the State Assembly today.

In reply to questions, he said the NORKA Department and the Centre for Development Studies (CDS) would prepare the data base, and a sum of Rs 50 lakh has been sanctioned for the purpose.

He said the work is expected to be completed within two years.
