BJP happy to support Kalam for another term: Venkaiah

Chennai, Mar 27 (UNI) The BJP will be too happy to support the candidacy of A P J Abdul Kalam if he chose to seek a second term as President, Senior Party Leader M Venkaiah Naidu said today.

Talking to reporters here, he described Dr Kalam as a great man and said ''if the son of this soil chose to seek a re-election, we will be happy to support him''.

Mr Naidu, however, said, ''let us see what other parties are going to do''.

It may be recalled that Dr Kalam had said he would return to his teaching profession after the end of his tenure, indicating that he would not seek a second term as President.
